August 5, 2012 Open In Espresso Finder Droplet
I use Espresso on daily basis. It’s not so extensible as Sublime Text or TextMate, but it simply fulfills my needs as a fancy web developer who mostly works with html, css, a little bit js and php. Basically, I like how its css auto-completion saves my time.
However, I’m not a fan of its “Project Based” workflow. Sometimes I work on many folders which are located on different roots, so dragging folders from Finder to the Espresso Icon in the dock menu is what I’ve done most of time and I’m not really comfortable with it.
Then I found a finder droplet which is allows us to open any folder in Espresso, easily from Finder. It’s created by paperkilledrock based on OpenInTextMate code created by Henrik Nyh.
The droplet itself was good but I wasn’t really happy with the icon, so I decided to make my own version to make it blend better with Finder toolbar.
You can download the droplet from here or you can download the original version from the paperkilledrock website.
To install it, you just need to drag the app to your Applications folder and then drag it into your finder toolbar.
Now you can open any folder in Espresso from your finder without having to create a project first or dragging it to the dock menu.
Enjoy!
